Nimbus

Nimbus is an AAX plugin that runs inside Avid Pro Tools, not a standalone app. It is not updated separately from iZotope's own installer or portal — instead, you need to ensure both Pro Tools itself and the Nimbus plugin are on current native builds. Pro Tools added native Apple Silicon support starting with version 2023.6, so first update Pro Tools to the latest version through the Avid Application Manager (or check Avid's site for the current build). Then visit the iZotope Product Portal or use iZotope's installer to update Nimbus to the latest version; iZotope has shipped native Apple Silicon builds of its plugins since around 2021, so a modern build should already be arm64-native. If you are still running an older version of either Pro Tools or Nimbus under Rosetta, updating both to their latest native builds will give you better performance and stability. Keep in mind that Apple is removing Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (September 2028), so Intel-only versions of either component will stop working on that release — staying current with both vendors' updates is the best way to prepare.
