iZotope Ozone 7

Ozone 7 is an AAX plugin for Pro Tools, which means it is not updated separately — you must update through both iZotope's Product Portal (to get the plugin build itself) and through Pro Tools (which must be on a version that supports native plugins). As of late 2025, iZotope has released native Apple Silicon builds of Ozone 7 and other major plugins through the iZotope Product Portal. However, there is an important prerequisite: Pro Tools itself must be on version 2023.6 or newer to run native AAX plugins; older Pro Tools builds cannot load or run native versions of any plugin. First, update Pro Tools to the latest version using Avid's Application Manager or through your iZotope account if Pro Tools is bundled with your subscription. Then, visit the iZotope Product Portal, log in with your account, and download the latest native build of Ozone 7 for Apple Silicon. Run the installer and authorize via iLok if you use iLok licensing (many Pro Tools systems do). After that, relaunch Pro Tools and the native Ozone 7 plugin will be available in your AAX plugin list. If you are still running Pro Tools older than 2023.6, you cannot use the native plugin build yet — first upgrade Pro Tools itself via Avid Application Manager, and then update Ozone 7 through iZotope's portal. This is important because the Intel build of Ozone 7 running under Rosetta will stop launching entirely when Apple removes Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (September 2028).
