Ozone 8 Equalizer

Ozone 8 Equalizer is an AAX plugin — it does not run standalone and is not separately installable. To update it to a native Apple Silicon build (if one exists), you must update the entire iZotope Ozone product suite through iZotope's own installer or Product Portal, not through Pro Tools itself. First, check that Pro Tools itself is running a native build on Apple Silicon — Avid shipped native Pro Tools from version 2023.6 onwards, so if you are on an older build, update Pro Tools first through the Avid Application Manager. Once Pro Tools is native, open iZotope's Product Portal or run iZotope Product Manager and check for updates to Ozone. The plugin will inherit the native build when you update the host product and its plugins together. Note that iZotope began shipping native Apple Silicon versions of Ozone from version 10 onwards (released in 2022); if Ozone 8 was your current installation, iZotope may have ceased native support for that older major version. You may need to upgrade to a newer Ozone version to get a native build that is compatible with modern Pro Tools and macOS. Contact iZotope support to confirm the path forward for Ozone 8, since Apple is removing Rosetta 2 in macOS 28 (September 2028) and an Intel-only plugin will stop working on that release.
